Payment terms & due date FAQ
- What is a payment terms calculator?
- It turns payment terms on an invoice (such as net 30) into a specific due date from the invoice date. This page works as a payment terms calculator, net 30 calculator, and invoice due date calculator in one.
- How do you calculate an invoice due date for net 30?
- Add 30 calendar days to the invoice date unless your contract says otherwise (for example end of month). Select Net 30 above and enter your invoice date.
- How does a net 30 calculator work?
- Net 30 means payment is due 30 calendar days after the invoice date. The calculator adds 30 days and compares the result to today so you can see if the invoice is overdue.
- Can I use this for net 45 or net 60 payment terms?
- Yes. Choose Net 45 or Net 60 in the payment terms dropdown, or use Custom days for other terms.
- When is an invoice overdue?
- The day after the due date on the invoice. If terms are net 30 and the invoice date is April 1, the due date is May 1 and the invoice is overdue from May 2 onward.
- Is this invoice due date calculator free?
- Yes. It runs in your browser with no sign-up. For automated reminders on your real invoices, start a NowPaid trial.
- Does net 30 mean 30 business days?
- Usually net 30 means 30 calendar days, not business days. If your contract specifies business days, use custom days or adjust the due date manually.
